Space for Debate - Collaboration to Bring Together Innovators and Decision-makers
Solution
Throwing out the traditional roundtable format to give everyone a platform. In a central London restaurant, we hosted a relaxed, ‘open panel’ dinner to provide a platform for everyone around the table to have their voice heard, challenge each other and share opinions.
The discussion was kicked off by two guests Dr Hiba Sher Khan of the Maven Clinic and Dr Mohammad Al-Ubaydli of Patients Know Best, who shared very honest experiences from their own very different journeys, and then opened up to the rest of the table with a moderated discussion.
Leveraging brand and credibility we utilised the Wired, KPMG, Apira, Tech Canal and SomX brands to bring together a group of people who would ordinarily not sit in the same room together.
Keeping sales conversations firmly off the table we wanted to create a safe opportunity for honest conversation and debate with our guests that sat on different sides of the table to explore the realities where innovation in healthcare is right now, the frustrations, blockers, barriers and opportunities, to galvanise partnerships and opportunities to overcome hurdles and to collaborate.
Results
32 attendees from across innovation, the NHS and policy that resulted in new relationships and seeding of partnership opportunities.
Reflection
Getting the format and the content right for this event was critical in creating the right setting that could allow people to open up and have valuable, candid conversations.
It is a great example of being able to collaborate with a household brand and respected media outlet to bring an extra layer of intrigue and finesse - not only did it help to set the tone for the evening, it also helped us to bring the right voices together around the table.
